From what I've observed, people's dreams can be seen through these devices. There's also a phenomenon called a "sleep coma," where individuals are randomly placed into a coma, but they don't require any life support system to keep them stable.

I can confirm that this world is called Hypnosia and the city is Somarium. As the reports imply, there are people here from various worlds as well.

I've experienced quite a lot during my life, but nothing compares to this. Here I am having just arrived and already I want to leave.
