AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *runs around in circles like a maniac*
RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL WAS SOOOOOO COOOOOOOOLLLLL! *dies* I have seriously NEVER had that much fun before! Not even at Otakon surrounded by all the prettyful art! *triple dies* I rented a costume (because I don't have one ^^;;) which actually turned out to be A LOT nicer than the ones that most people rented! (It's because I'm short I swear!) The skirt was 10 times nicer than other people I saw who rented had, I got to wear this cool corset(sp?) all day along with this wreath of dried flowers I bought for my hair!
I basked in all of the BEAUTIFUL JEWELRY shops that were EVERYWHERE....but it was all window shopping because even the rings that I LOVED were 30 dollars and up (And I WOULD have bought one, mind you, but I found the mask shop before I could go back XDD )
AND THE COSTUMES! *dies again* I looked in all of the costume shops and they had the most GORGEOUS dresses in the WORLD! I was going to try one on for fun, but I looked at the price tag and realized that my life was worth less than that gown (The gowns were litterally 1,000 dollars and up!!!) and I didn't want to have to pay somehow for messing them up! That would be BAAAD. So I had a day of dreaming XDD and have decided to make a dress for next year (Hurray for annual events! *dances*)
Well, as we were purusing through the gown shops Rachel and I came across this mask shop. I nearly died when I walked in..the masks were all so GORGEOUS! They were all hand crafted leather, painted with these beautiful colors, from golds to pinks to greens to blues and...just....they had masks shaped like dragons and masks shaped like fire, and butterflies and fairies and leaves and trees and...just *explodes from overload* I ended up buying a green mask because the girl working there was just so darn convincing and I was already contemplating splurging on this 45 dollar mask...^^;; it's green that fades to black in the center and it really makes my eyes stand out, and I just love it! I am seriously going to start a mask collection and go poor! LOL! Yay teachers salary!
I also bought a parasole which is beautiful, although I kinda wish I hadn't bought it, but that's ok ^^;; you're allowed one purchase that's not too expensive just for the hell of it XDD.
There was also a Herbalist booth which I LOVE, it was SO pretty inside, and smelled so good, so soothing....I ended up buying some Gingerman Tea (Ginger and Vanilla, can't wait to try it!!!) it's actually tea leaves so I have to use the strainer, but I don't care! I wanted to buy like, 10 of the different flavors but I had spent all my money on the mask XDDD and the food. You don't know food until you've had cheesecake on a stick LOL! Rachel made me get a turkey leg which she said was really good....I got it but didn't eat much, it smelled good, but I just couldn't get over the fact that it was turkey...just didn't like it enough...so I got some beef soup in a bread bowl XDD the bread bowl rocked, lol. And then there were sugar coated nuts which were HEAVENLY, but I wasn't in a sweet mood.
But yeah, long story short. I went in with 135 dollars and came out with....10 and some change XDDD and Rachel's mom even payed for my admission which means that I wouldn't have been able to buy all I did if I had payed the 17 dollar enterence fee! XDD I'm such a loser, I kinda feel bad for letting her pay, but I have to pay my parents back the 100 dollars I spent of their money XDD I'm just going to give them one of my pay checks and hope it covers it.
OH! But I am going to make my own halloween costume to match the mask I bought! It's going to be SOOOO prettyful! The color scheme will be green silver and black, I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!! *skips off happily*
edit: I ALSO GOT TO PLAY A REAL VIRGINAL!!!!!!! *dies* for those of you music illiterate is the predecessor to the Harpsichord. I was talking to this guy playing and I asked it if was similar to play like the piano. And he said no, asked if I play, said yes, and told me that I could sit down and actually PLAY IT! It was so amazing! it was so cool! I have NEVER done anything that awesome in forever! (hahaha, such a musician at heart *cough* I was immediately drawn to all the musical shops and even thought how cool it would be to teach a class on medieval music XDDD ) /edit
