and just when things were getting better
in about a week jess and i will have our own cars. or that's what i thought until about 3 hours ago, when jess' car got stuck in the flood.
we were on our way home and we drove through a part that was deeper than we realized.
to make a 2 hour story short, the car stopped. we got out w/ the help of a big truck. the firefighters came to pull us out, but left to rescue others. the tow truck never showed up. and some nice couple offered to take us home b/c were standing in the rain for over an hour with no idea of how to get home.
jess' car had to be left in the road. when we got stuck the water wasn't even to her tires, when we left the car, it was over the trunk of ther car...and the window was open b/c we climbed out of it.
needless to say, jess isn't going home this weekend.
we have a football game tomorrow-for some high schools that rented out peden b/c their field is flooded.
