OW! MY ALL OF ME!
Well my friends, I have returned!
We first stopped in Washington, where we stayed at a Hilton (for free, thanks to UNCC!) My mom had to do some conference thing, so my dad and I went crazy and shopped, ate, shopped some more. Monday, I went to the quaint little town of Churchville, Maryland and visited my dear friend Chelsea. We talked, shared music, drank coffee, shopped at the dollar store, jumped on the trampoline and (best of all) took crazy pictures of eachother! Oh, and I beat her at pool. Just my skeeeel.
And then we went to New York. I haven't been to the city since I was too young to remember. I was...oh, I just love it there. I think when I get older, I'm definitley going to try and take some classes at NYU, live in the area. Maybe, if I become an amazing actress in the next few years, I can be on broadway. Or I could just write something for broadway! It would be amazing. Anyway, we walked around, saw Parson's (from Project Runway) and, of course, stopped in for a visit at the Nederlander Theater. RENT was completely wonderful. I've got the complete RENT experience now, for sure. The day after, we went to South Street Seaport and I got a biiig RENT poster, now hanging next to my bed :) We also went to Chinatown. I got a lovely dress and a knock-off leathery bag. I love it so much. It's just pretty and big enough and soft as a baby's butt! (not that I know. I don't touch many baby's butts...) We walked around to a bunch of cool places, drove past the Empire State Building (it's always been one of my favorite buildings), walked through the library where The Day After Tomorrow was filmed. All in all, I had such a great time. I can't wait to go back and do some serious NYC touring with my road trip buddies. (THAT'S RIGHT, I'M MAKING US GO TO NYC!)
I'll have pictures (mostly of me and chelsea, I was too hot and excited to take pictures in either DC or NYC.)
I've got a green chair and an alarm clock waiting in my room.
And I dream of the future, of mountains and cities and lakes and you, standing next to me.
But when I wake up, I'm in my bed and you're in yours.
And i'm still young and the mountains and cities and lakes are miles away,
and the only thing beside me is an alarm clock and a poster of who i'd rather be.
cause she's a little smaller, maybe inches taller, with a voice of an emotion that carries.
my floors creak, they're growing old, and i'm growing up.
my windows squeak, they don't get much use, and i've been used.
