mp3 sharing post #01!
This is a very random mp3 sharing post, with just a few of my fave songs at the moment that I wanted to share with you! I'm sure in the future I'll have it more organized with actual albums, but for now I'm posting up songs, a random Youtube live performance/PV by that artist, and then my opinion as to whether the artist is better live or not! =)
Muse - "Butterflies and Hurricanes" (2004, from 'Absolution')
MP3: Sendspace / LIVE: "Stockholm Syndrome"
Live or Recorded? Definitely live, because even though their recorded stuff is fantastic, it sounds even BETTER live. I want to see them live so badly, they have such raw energy and it's so loud!!
Random fact: I want to use "Butterflies and Hurricanes" in a Smallville music video, but have no clue if I'll do the song justice heh.
Utada Hikaru - "Stay Gold" (2008, from 'HEART STATION')
MP3: Sendspace / LIVE: "Hikari"
Live or Recorded? I'd say recorded, because her songs are produced so beautifully and it's awesome listening to songs like "Dareka No Negai Ga Karou Koro" and "Tippy Toe" on my mp3 player. Her live performances aren't bad, but don't have that oomph.
Random fact: This song is from her yet-to-be-released CD in March!
Brooke Fraser - "Deciphering Me" (2006, from 'Albertine')
MP3: Sendspace / LIVE: "Hosanna" (with Hillsong United)
Live or Recorded? Having seen her live with Hillsong United last summer, I definitely prefer that! But since she doesn't perform often in Canada, I appreciate the recorded stuff a lot hehe.
Random fact: That video clip is from the concert I went to! Though I sat much farther back hehe.
ayaka - "Te Wo Tsunagaou" (2008)

Live or Recorded? Thanks to rikayla posting up vids, I prefer her liveeee ... she has such an energy to her, it's awesome.
Random fact: Wendy has made me into an ayaka fangirl haha. Oh, and I prefer the "do doo, do doo" in the live version.
Lifehouse - "Whatever It Takes" (2007, from 'Who We Are')
MP3: Sendspace / LIVE: "Broken (Acoustic)"
Live or Recorded? I normally don't watch their live performances 'cause err ... they bore me. I prefer watching them as musical guest stars on "Smallville", teehee!
Random fact: This song is pretty much my theme song right now.
m-flo loves Dragon Ash - "WAY U MOVE" (2004, from 'Astromantic')
MP3: Sendspace / LIVE: "miss you"
Live or Recorded? To be honest, I've never watched them live 'til now! I'm so used to them recorded though, and in this live performance they're basically singing over the recorded track so yeah ... recorded FTW!
Random fact: I always listen to this song when I'm exercising on my stationary bike, it's the perfect work out song!
The Pierces - "Three Wishes" (2007, from 'Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge')

Random fact: Recently discovered thanks to "Gossip Girl", they are an awesome and haunting indie band.
Gackt - "Last Song (Acoustic)" (2004, from 'The Seventh Night')

Live or Recorded? Given that the mp3 itself was shot in a live atmosphere shows that I really prefer Gackt live. He is FANTASTIC, I love seeing him play instruments, he is uber talented.
Random fact: Gackt is awesome haha.
