Halloween is almost here
If not blatantly obvious by the new Livejournal Banner.
But! These new customizing features are great!
Worked saturday and sunday. Both in the mornings. It wasn't so bad. Saturday they had me in Cosmetics.
Yes I said Cosmetics.
Apparently they cycle people in and out. They're short handed there, and the job isn't so bad. I spent pretty much all day stocking shelves anyway, not really being bothered. It was wonderful.
But you know, stocking the tampons and pads and vaginal creams is... difficult BD
I think Walgreens needs to rethink it's brand packaging. One box I always laugh at, bottom shelf, all these smiling happy women looking out at you. The product in big letters undernieth their faces;
"DOUCHE"
The other packaging gracefully don't have people featured on them.
I laugh every time though. A mark of the severe maturity I've gained since my birthday /sarcasm ;)
Yesterday was nice too. In the Photo lab. I was so 'on' as they say. On task, not messing up, unusually eager. Chelsey had put me in a brilliant mood the previous night, I know that helped.
Processing films, helping a few people... A particularly nice woman and I had a conversation about her trip to Hawaii. I was more than happy to get her prints asap for her.
My cheeriness was frightful o_o But I made people happy!
Stocking some shelves, reorganizing the photo lab display. Apparently our big Christmas item is a digital photo key chain, which I think might have some potential for some family members. Oh.
I saw an entire bag of mint Hershey chocolates. I am slowly, finally, preparing a box of things to send to Tala and Dane.
I'm spacy, but I don't forget these things. I've got the rest of the beer-a-pult comic thumbed out >_> No one's seen that in a while. But ohohohoho...
Already my delicious cake is gone D:
Oh! I saw one of my old Prof's from AIA. He's moved to SCAD, and says that it is indeed everything they say and more. I'm pretty sure I weirded him out a little. I was at work, and I'd just gotten back from the stock room throwing cardboard boxes into the trash compactor thing. In a feat of awesome, I dropped something and stood really fast and hit my head on the edge of the door as it was slowly creeping it's way to closing.
So talking to him I was still in pain, my eyes had that watery sting, I'm sure and I was making funny faces at him. He seemed to feel better about that when I mentioned that I missed having him, my favorite Prof, around.
Shawn D: I know I mentioned him before. He looks like Lucian from Underworld.
They cut my hours back. I'm scheduled for weekends it seems. Which suits me fine because my current school schedule makes for weirder hours. Oh! And we do get paid a little extra sometimes at Walgreens. Promotional items that are sold give a certain amount extra into our paycheck. I won't say what, but it's pretty awesome. I made nine extra dollars yesterday.
And also, Chelsey and I have discovered that I've developed a bit of a knack for oral storytelling :3
