Better pix of the big bear

when I got him hime he was NASTY dirty (seller said he was around 3 kids and a dog) the first rinse water was brown. He also needed quite a bit more stuffing, as his old stuffing had collapsed pretty badly, and I found out after washing him that his eyes are painted wood- the moisture destroyed the paint job, so I had remove them, bake them dry, strip, paint, varnish and reset them. It was a full days work, but so very worth it.

I'm so happy with him, he's the closest I've ever felt to sleeping next to a "real" grizzly....his fur is soft, but has a slightly coarse feeling at the tips, just like a real bear, and he's very heavy, I'd say nearly 50 lbs (It feels awesome to cuddle under him, and let him pin me down with all that weight) and he's HUGE- nearly 6 feet long (that's a queen sized bed he's on)
I'm going to contact Sigikid and see if I can get any history on him, he's obviously an older bear, late '80's or early 90's probably. I haven't named him yet, that will take some thought.I have to come up with something special....he's a truly special bear :)
