I'm feeling much better today than yesterday. A number of things happened to promote this renewed sense of vigor and gusto.
- I got the car back from the body shop. Knowing that my car is in good condition is very much linked to my mood, and the longer it's away being worked on, the worse my mood tends to be.
- I budgeted what I think is a very effective monthly budget that accounts for 401(k) and still leaves enough wiggle room for reasonable monthly savings.
- I talked to my parents' financial adviser about my 401(k) options and got some solid recommendations from him. I also spoke with him about setting up a Roth IRA fund, in addition to my 401(k).
- I realized that my Bank of America savings account has a rather impressive 7.56% APY associated with it. I find it a little odd that they would tout CDs and the like with 5.1% APYs when their basic savings accounts are incredibly profitable.
- Cody and I went to Shaw's last night to get food that was high in fiber (filling, causing me to eat less by making me feel fuller faster) and also less expensive than my daily lunch here at work. I'm now bringing lunch to work instead, which saves me money and is better for my health.
So, as with all things, this too shall pass.
