(no subject)

As adolescents, teenagers, and young adults, we have so much power in our hands, yet few of us realize it.  Most of us are too busy absorbed in ourselves or trivial things.  There are many exceptions to this, but many of us are getting as drunk and stoned as possible and fucking around as much as possible.  We are so wasted in more ways that one that we are complacent about the real significances in society.

The problems: we are immature, ignorant, selfish.  We would tear each other apart before anything else.  Many of us lack good judgement.  We are not united.  We need a cause, if not many.

I do not want to take away childhood, or take away from it.  Being child-like (as opposed to being childish) is one of the greatest things.  The point is: we have so much power and potential, and the tools layed out at our very feet to take advantage of it all, but we squander it away.

We can make a difference (hopefully a positive one); we can change things (hopefully for the better); government, laws, society can be molded.

The ball is in our court, but we are kept from seeing that truth.  In fact, we, in many ways, are being fed propagandistic bullshit.  We are being taken advantage of, for we are the most easily influenced.

This is not a call to anarchy, or to do whatever you feel like it.  It is not a call to change things towards immorality, disregard, or disrespect.  It is a call to change things for the better.  End indifference.  Unite.  Take action.
