40 Oz to ... my Life

Aug 21, 2008 21:03

I don't know why, but I'm sooo eager to get out of college. Is it sad that I really want to start paying off my debt and live in the true real world? Walking around the city and looking at the apartments with the cute little balconies makes me wish I could afford those places. I honestly just want to start living life. I hate not being able to plan my future because I have no idea what kind of job I will be able to find and where I will be able to afford to live and such. It kind of drives me nuts not being able to know my future. I can only think of the kind of job I want. Basically I'm thinking that I may focus more on animating than modeling since... I honestly suck at modeling. The way I WANT to model is more on the photo realistic side rather than like... Jimmy Neutron :: hurls ::. Maybe if I practice throughout my life I can get better, but I actually like lip syncing. I find that I have knack for it. Usually in BIG companies I can JUST focus on lip syncing, but in the smaller companies lip syncing would be apart of animating, so that would be cool.
:: Sigh :: I know I could never have a job that isn't stressful, but I would love to have a job that isn't so boring as lifeguarding. I think I have a permanent knot in my neck and in my upper back for having to sit on those uncomfortable chairs. Plus from the stresses of lifeguarding 5 hours a day for 5 days a week. Lately I just can't sleep because I'm just sooo uncomfortable and I'm sure it's partly because of these knots. I wish I could afford to get a professional message, but I guess a hot shower every night is the only way I can relax. x.x

Today was my last day for working summer hours. That means NO MORE WORKING SATURDAYS!!! I don't know how many people know this, but lifeguarding at a pool on the weekend... sucks. Anyway...tomorrow I'm taking the train to Schenectady to hang with my bro and soon-to-be sister-in-law for the weekend. Saturday we're going to Six Flags in Massachusetts and Sunday we're going to have dinner at Jess's rents' house. We may go to Lake George or something like that too, but that's not set in stone. Then Monday morning my mom is going to pick me up and I'm going to spend the rest of the week at home. I'll probably come back Sunday, the 31st. I'm glad that I'll be spending some much needed time with the rents and Lola before school starts. Plus I have to find a dress and shoes for my cousin, Ron's wedding, which is the first week in September. So, off to the carousel mall in Syracuse. Hooray!

A couple of days ago I went to 10th street to hang with Neil and daaaamn. That place is SICK! I mean for 14,000+ it's nice, but not nice enough for me to spend that kind of money. I mean for that kind of money I could live in Chelsea in a nice 1 bedroom or a HUGE studio. I think it comes out to be between 1700 and 1850 a month for 8 months. Ummm... sorry, but I'm already enough in debt as it is. Hell, I have to pay off this summer housing still.... x.x Oh boy. Also I hear that the new building on Ludlow is going to be just as nice, but with single and double person bedrooms in a suite type setting. Plus it's suppose to house 40% of SVA's population. I was considering this option, buuuut the closest train is the F,J,M,Z... the F is really the ONLY train I would take and it would be easy to get to the west side building taking that train, BUT going to the main building would be a bitch because you would have to transfer to the 6 OR walk from Union Square or walk from 23rd and 6th. Noooo thanks. Unless SVA is giving out unlimited metro passes.... then... I will think harder about it, but yet again that dorm is going to cost 14,000+ too. I understand that SVA needs to make back the money that they spent for building these new dorms, but if they want to phase out GDubs then... make the new dorms the same price as GDubs or cheaper. I'm not going to pay an extra $3,000 on the dorms! >:0 Yeah, GDubs is a SAAAAAD building to live in, but it's the best choice for me right now. It's kind of in the middle of the east side and west side buildings, the price is the best between the options I have, most of my friends are all here as well, I have a renovated room, aaaand that's about it. Also as a RUMOR SVA is going to try to find some more real estate after they finish building Ludlow. Still praying for those luxury condos next to the west side building... literally NEXT to the west side building.
