She was my first reptile ever. She has a surviving mate and many surviving children.

I still remember my first reptile ever. When I was a kid, my dad found an injured brown snake. We took it in and put it in an aquarium and nursed it back to health the entire summer. I've loved them ever since.

Unlike a lot of people who are afraid of snakes and lizard due to how they were raised. I learned to like them for the same reason. Was taught since I was a kid that they were nothing to be afraid of. I even pet a friend's snake one. An Albino python that she had wrapped around her shoulders.

Same. Growing up, i was very much an insect, snake and 'creepy crawlie' gal. My parents never let me have a lizard or snake of my own though. So my collection exploded after i got this apartment!
At least i still have Sheo, my preggo boa and my sugar gliders :)

*smiles* Maybe that's what I should look into. After all, I am not allowed pets like dogs or cats, but small pets are allowed.

Ya. Let me know, i have baby boas and ball pythons for $30-40. No noise, no smell, much less fuss than mammals. tank//lid $30, clips $3, UTH w/thermostat $40, bedding, water bowl, etc. Food $1 a week. Can't beat that! lol. wish i could live off $1 a week. and i breed my own feeders, so feeding them is free for me! woo!
