I had a dream last night about a global infiltration of giant sunflowers. They were normal width stalks, but they were incredibly tall and strong. It was overwhelming to walk among the stalks, packed close together, like endless fat bamboo, as tall as redwoods.
Forests of them engulfed soil, sand, concrete... governments were up in arms. There was lots of rabid fearful talk of being obliterated by them and about their sinister nature.
Then my vantage point chanced to up above them, and the view was amazing. Huge heads of gold and yellow and orange, turned up towards to sun, gently swaying in the wind. You could tell that they were very happy plants, happy for sun and wind and being alive. All the dire predictions faded from my mind. I was transfixed. Maybe we can find a way to live with them, I thought... Then I woke up.
I didn't remember this until just now.
