I finally unloaded all the photos from my phone, and then I was reading Glamour magazine and fell in love with other things. So here's a bunch of my wants,
Velvet furniture I am in love with:
and
which isn't velvet, but I *love* the curves, and velvet would be *so* posh.
And then there are these media centers, b/c we've got such a huge space between our fireplace and the dining room wall, and we're not likely to place a flat panel above the mantle, despite the pre-wiring our builder did:
We loved that one, except it is 6 inches too long :(
And we saw this one:
but thought it might be too lightweight for the space. We had crashed the Rooms to Go after-Thanksgiving sale again this year, where you get a $100 gift card free when you buy one, so we're still trying to see what might could work.
For our bedroom, we'd like to replace the $25 craigslist broken-down armoire (though I love the white & detail!), so we thought about these...
or
But I'd really like an armoire, to be able to shut away the tv. And we don't really need a dresser. Though we've got a lot of wall space to take up there, too. So maybe....
But we are cheap, and that is a lot. But Ikea seriously had some good options -- they have
this (I'm assuming faux)-
zebra wood that I *love* for their sliding doors -- i think the glass might be too modern, considering our woven-grass sidetables, but oooh:
Hmm, or maybe that is for downstairs, I don't remember.
Other furniture I like the look of (though clearly, no bed, since we got our
leather headboard/footboard also on post-Tgiving sale!):
with this at the base:
And THIS desk! It looks like a chest of drawers, but IT'S A DESK AND CHAIR!
I'm just really into this woven material, which Kee knows, so that mirror just rocks.
Okay, the focus of that one is actually the rug, but gosh darn that ottoman looks good with it, right? I have no idea what kind of rug will go with our couch and gold-stained floors, so the above might be too much gold. Mmm, red. No rug find in that color yet, though....
And final bedroom inspirations, from Glamour: the ottoman in the lower left hand corner of the first photo (s, the fun prints in the quilt in the second, and the overall design of the last.
I just like the relaxation & openness in that last one!
Ahh, exciting times, I know.
