Bummer.
We thought we had found an apartment this past Sunday and were really excited about it. The place was pretty much just what we were looking for and right next door to close friends of ours. Well, as it turned out, there were significant lead hazards in the apartment. After getting a quote the owner decided he couldn't afford to delead the place. So we're back to square one, and have lost almost a week on the apartment searching front.
I'm kind of upset about this. I understand that deleading isn't in his budget and all that, but I think he knew he didn't want to rent to us certainly by yesterday, possibly earlier, and was kind of dithering because he didn't want to be mean or something. Which is nice and all, but we've lost a lot of time and want to move in a couple weeks, and we still have no place to move into.
