Crazy letter to Carolyn Hax. Carolyn's response is hilarious and right on.
Let me rephrase:
Dear Carolyn,
I pushed encouraged my son to make friends with a neighborhood boy, because he is black. I love all colors of the rainbow and think it would be swell if my son had a complete set of colorful pals, too. Problem is, this boy is horribly rude. What should I doooooo?
I am going to go out on a limb and say this is a pretty good example of upper class white entitlement.

Hmm. It occurs to me that I'm not entirely sure which would be worse: having other parents wanting their children to play with my children just because they are black, or having other parents NOT wanting their children to play with mine for the same reason. Probably the latter. But the former would still be pretty irritating.
