Dash, where are the straws?

[A few minutes later.]

Oh! Never mind, I found them.

...

Is it... normal to have a period after a busy day at work in which one's brain completely vacates all proper function?

Because I looked at these straws at least three times and never managed to realize they were straws.

Straws are not supposed to be orange[ ( Read more... )

Yes. It's perfectly normal.

And if I may make a suggestion for your cough, you may want to try lemon-ginger or peppermint tea. I've found both in the market.

Thank goodness. I was wondering if everything was finally going to my head.

Of course, Bastet. Lemon ginger... and peppermint. Do you know of any others, particularly sweet ones?

Mm...those are all I know of for colds. I always add honey to mine, though, if you want a sweet tea.

Honey does go well in teas, so long as there isn't too much sweetness. Otherwise it will make the throat uncomfortably sticky. A shame, since I love sweets.

You'll just have to learn restraint with your tea, and satisfy your sweet tooth with other things.

Tea is quite bitter unsweetened, sometimes. But I suppose I can "learn to deal".

I can drink green tea unsweetened, but I have to add honey to every other tea I drink. And I can't drink coffee at all unless there's enough milk and sugar in it to make it taste like candy.

So my vote is for adding honey anyway. Just not too much.

It absolutely depends on what sort of coffee it is for me. I admit to taking black when I have to combat the effects of the night before, but only then. I don't believe I've ever tried to green tea. Is it good?

Good plan.

Well, living with a coffee drinker for so long, I was convinced to give it a try.

Green tea can be bitter, but it's very familiar to me, almost comforting. I suppose I had it a lot at home.

That I can see. Though I would not be convinced to try half of what Cross manages to eat.

What was your home like? Do you know?
