Finally, this year draws to a close. This year felt extremely long. I feel like a lot happened to me, even if none of it was very serious. Went to Central, moved in, got a major, met people, Battlestar ended, left Central, moved out, got a job, met people, graduated from SPSCC, got in a car accident, lost my car, got a new car, quit job after three months, went camping in Idaho, bought tickets for France, changed my major, went back to Central, moved in, bought hostel room for France, Battlestar premiered, finished classes with respectable grades, went home, spent a terrifying day on a plane, had a whirlwind six days in Paris, spent another terrifying day on a plane, came home miraculously not dead, had Christmas, broke the gearshift off of my car, went to Long Beach (God knows why). For a lot of people that might be relatively uneventful, but I had fortunately led a very quiet life until about a year ago. That's a lot of stuff to happen to me in that span of time.
It's strange to think that a year ago I didn't like or know of Keane, Doves, The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, Snow Patrol, etc. I hadn't seen the last season of Six Feet Under. I'd just discovered Interpol, and I didn't like Everwood. I hadn't met Tom, Ryan, John, Sean, or any of the other people I like or hate at Central or work. I still had my beloved Bjorn.
Well, that's my reflection on the year past. I don't do New Year's resolutions because a new year really won't compel me to start or stop doing something. I'll do that when I feel like it.
