Well, this might be useless if I'm just going to forget everything when I finally get to go home, but I don't feel like just wasting all this time. And I need something else to think about...Anyone seeing this: I'm Rita Mordio, a mage and scholar. Everyone in my world is what you'll describe as nothing more than baseline human beings. Though there are a small segment of us, including myself, that have honed our bodies to the absolute peak of human physical condition or even beyond it. Also we have some intereactions with powers that tend to exist outside the scope of human reasoning like ghosts or the divine. The level of technology of my world is at the same level as this place.

In addition all the countries of my world teeter on semi-shaky alliances and the idiocy of the majority of the public is quite visible once they're gathered in mobs.

What have you heard so far to consider my world as being normal?

they totally don't exist kay T_T blastiafreak May 26 2010, 23:52:09 UTC
I'm just comparing it to my experiences. Normal would be my own world, I guess. When we're not having a global catastrophe, anyway.

The majority of the people are "baseline human beings" as you put it and live out their lives doing labour, domestic chores, things like that. Then there are handfuls of people who go a bit beyond that and some select individuals who are way out of everybody else's league. Does that ring a bell?

Besides that, it sometimes takes no more than a few stupid comments or actions for a whole war to break out. Yeah, I think the basics are about the same. Obviously the technology and the situations are probably pretty far apart, though.

What about your world of origin?

asglk all lies blastiafreak May 27 2010, 00:17:38 UTC
Hm. We have an empire that, up until recently, was at odds with the guilds--groups of people who've turned away from the empire. They almost went into all-out war just because of some fake letters, though tensions had always been pretty bad. There's another separate guild that rules a coliseum city, and all three of those factions kind of had their issues to work out.

Besides humans, there's also a race called the Kritya. Judith is one of them, if you met her--she got to leave just in the past couple of days, though. They tend to be kind of eccentric...mostly laid-back and sort of distant.

And I don't know about your world, but our planet's full of monsters that are pretty dangerous for most people, so the cities used to be encased in barriers to keep the monsters out.

no lies child_radical May 27 2010, 00:36:04 UTC
We've avoided monsters but as I said before, ghosts interacting with the living has happened.

Well my experience with them stems from the soul of a man my father killed returning from Hell and possessing a family friend in order to exact revenge on us all.

It's exactly how I said. The ghost almost succeeded but we were able to bind the body he had inhabitied and I excorcised him by tricking him.

s'ok. not like that detail really makes a difference here! blastiafreak May 27 2010, 01:51:41 UTC
H-huh? How...how would you e-exorcise him by tricking him?

okies child_radical May 27 2010, 01:54:18 UTC
His attachment to the world was through a nigga moment. A nigga moment arises from an altercation between two or more black men in which they basically act like a nigga. A nigga moment can't exist where there's peace so I tricked him into getting along with somebody.

okay that actually sounds hilarious blastiafreak May 27 2010, 02:11:46 UTC
What the...'Nigga moment'?
