According to a report from AintitCoolNews.com and this report from Variety, Stephen Sommers is back at the helm for the upcoming G.I. Joe live action film, with a tentative release date set of Summer, 2009.
The article in Variety even mentions some plot details, including the fact that "G.I. Joe is now a Brussels-based outfit that stands for Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity, an international co-ed force of operatives who use hi-tech equipment to battle Cobra, an evil organization headed by a double-crossing Scottish arms dealer."
Weird, huh?
I don't personally think it could be nearly as cool as the Transformers movie, but what movie can even come close to that in my mind? NONE!
