I had my review on Wednesday. It went more like a casual conversation than an actual review. There were no points raised against me which was nice. I asked for more money but it all needs to go through the proper channels before I get an answer. That's ok, I expected that would be the case. I enjoy working where I am. But still, it can't hurt to see what's around.
The situation I put myself in last Friday was comical. I woke up at 10:10 sick as a dog and tried to call in to let my boss know I wouldn't be coming. No answer. Shit, where could she be? Oh she's in the company meeting that started at 9:30. The one that I joked about not wanting to attend last week. The one they specifically told me to come in early for. The one where they're handing out the annual rewards. Later I get an email to tell me I won the people's choice award and nobody knew where I was. Insert frown here. Anyway, the reward looks good on a resume (which I'm updating at the moment). And the $250 gift voucher is a welcome surprise.
Trip dates are still falling together. Planning at the moment goes: Sydney->Singapore or Hong Kong->London->Japan->Sydney. Maybe in the next 4-5 weeks. Unfortunately my original booking conflicted with the trip I'll be making with Deb to Adelaide for her photoshoot. Such a beautiful lady she is. Mmmmm.
There are a great many things happening next week. (RHPS, Valentines, Camille, scuba diving with sharks.)
