Captain's Log....

Here's the almost weekly update....I swear, I am getting better at this. Picking up where I left off......

Hung with David+Lisa, and Adam+Brandy at Hunter's Pub in Lafayette. Classy joint. 15 beers on tap, 15 beers bottled, and a very nice jukebox. Wasn't really feeling the place too well, so we left, went to the liquor store and got a 30 pack, and killed it playing Mortal Kombat 2 and 3. Good times. Proceed to practice the next day in our bone-chilling practice space. Landlord has a gang of new rules that he came up with, which in turn has almost all the bands shelling out more money. MORE MONEY FOR A BUILDING THAT PROBABLY ISN'T EVEN UP TO A SEGA GENESIS CODE. I'm sure there's lead in the paint, and I'm sure that place is crawling with asbestos. Oh well.

Monday. Call Neal (Roommate) and tell him I need to do some electrical work in my place, and he says he talk to his dad to tell me what fuse it is... nothing fun about getting zapped by a hot wire. Anyways, dad comes over to fix it, we can't quite guess which fuse it is, and so I call Steve (Neal's dad/my landlord). He tells me that he is coming over to fix it on Tuesday. So, I just end up hanging with my dad. Had the Bell for dinner, and proceeded to school my dad in Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Went to Mike and Toni's after that and played Scattergories. Once again, school was in for them.

And here's the fun stuff: Given my current situation here in Indy (hating job, not wanting to live with family forever due to all the bitching and bickering, and my personal life) I have been toying with the idea of moving to Lafayette. I think it would be a big boost for the band, and maybe we'd have a quicker turnaround time. So, on Sunday, Adam, Brady, and myself went to look at a house. It's pretty damn nice. 2-story, 5 bedroom, 2-car detached garage, basement, fireplace.....classy joint. So, I should have my application this weekend, and we should have an answer not too long after. I've basically just had it with Indy. Things here aren't going the way I wish they were, but don't take it as I'm 'running from my problems'....It's merely a chance for me to start over somewhere fresh. A new chapter in my life's book.
I'm out. My first load of laundry is done.
