Liz is on her way over to pick me up. We're going to get foils and she's going to touch up my roots. Then, haircut time! I'm don't know if you guys know this, but I had a dickens of a time growing out my hair, so it's always been chin length. Come to find out if I'd been able to afford regular haircuts I'd have been able to grow it out. Now my hair is down to the middle of my back for the first time since I was 14 and cut it all off during spring break. It looks so rad. I might grow it a few more inches just to see if I can. Many people can't tell right away since I have curls. My hair curls up about 5 inches, but stretched out it's really long. Also, I don't have to use my falls for volume as often anymore. I have enough to back-comb and still have it look long. Yay!
This afternoon I'll be trudging through the traffic to pick my mom up from the airport. She went to Maryland to visit my brother and sister-in-law for her birthday. My mom turned 60 this year :) I turned 30 and my sister and her husband will be 40. Really easy to keep birthdays in order XD So next week, my sister and I are taking my mom to the spa for a massage and manicure, then lunch and Cafe Barbette. Should be a fun girls day. We never do anything like this because we're all so busy. My sister has two kids and works full time, my mom works full time and I have all my fashion bullshit. It's hard to schedule relaxation :3
Then tonight I'll be sewing, working on customer orders and BC RIOT! dresses. This week will be a lot of work since I'm taking my staycation next week. I actually scheduled myself some time off. This Friday I'll be hanging out with friends I haven't seen in ages, Sunday is the Rufflebutts Xmas meetup (yay!) and next week my Chandler comes home to visit! Tomorrow I have a meeting at a venue for a potential solo spring show (crosses fingers). Lots to do and I'm happy about all of it.
I talked with the Megans about everything yesterday. Those are two girls I'm glad to have in my corner. I support them both so much and love them. I'm glad their my friends :) They really cheered me up. Thanks girls.
Cookie baking was awesome. Lisa and Teri came over for a little bit and helped me make Glitter Balls. After they left I made macarons. Wednesday I'm making peanut butter cookies with Carla. These are my gifts for friends this Christmas. I wish I could afford to give better gifts to everyone, but I figure if I make something yummy and heartfelt, I can give more to more people. I hope you love them :) I had to keep Ryan and myself from eating them XD
Anyway, I feel good. I feel confidant.
Love you guys!
