Like a Leaky Faucet

Aug 20, 2006 20:05

Leilove and I were at the Starcrest Laundrette, doin our dirties, and 50 First Dates was on those little TVs they have.

I'd forgotten how much it made me cry.

I wept in a laundrette!

I hope that I'd have as much patience as the father or Henry if Leila ever had a serious injury - mental or otherwise.

I used to work at a hospital in Indiana where I dealt with cancer patients almost daily. Seeing some of the folks just tore me apart - the hope, the despair...I couldn't take it.

But enough of that sad, serious talk, kids...

We're making Tofu Hotwings, and we're gonna eat em.
Then we're going to the local geek shop, Valhalla. We're banking on them having some packs of the "Pirates of the Revolution" CCG.

Oh, did I mention that Leila and I went to GENCON?!?!

Gosh!
I'm such a horrible documenter.

We skedaddled out of town last Saturday to go visit our good friend Daniel Paquette. He forged us some passes to the largest Gaming convention this side of Alderaan.

We demoed some Slugfest games, and ended up buying the lot of them. En Garde is especially spiffy. Swashbuckling for the win!

We've been megabusy with the new Pop Monster release, Wille Talk. running a label is fun, but stressful sometimes! even if we don't actually sell any records...

Our friends finally moved back for the Fall semester.
Leila and I are both taking full courseloads...I'm pretty darn excited.
I'm not sure if she is...although she is taking Vegetable Gardening, which is quite radical, indeed.

I'm going to be going back to school after a year off.
Just to give you a bit of backstory, I went to WKU for two years, studying to be a Photojournalist. I haven't really taken a photograph since I left...
We'll see if coming back to the Bureaucracy of Higher Education will pay off.

In the meantime,
