Title: Let the Game Begin
Crossover: PLL/HP. Did it for
hogwarts_elite.
Disclaimer: I own nothing except for the crack theory that A is 1) a wizard and 2) Bart Bass.
The owls began to hoot as a figure entered and looked around the room. It seemed like none of them wanted to deliver the message. But that wasn’t up to them to decide anyway. The figure went over to where a tawny owl was and took it out. The owl kept hooting and trying to get away but a few strokes down its back calmed it down. It grew silent as the black leather-gloved hand played with it for a while. Good. A calm owl was just what they needed. Now that this was over with, it was time to put the plan into action.
“Oh.”
They turned to find Cho Chang also in the room, holding a letter. Gritting their teeth and cursing to themselves, they let her through. The girl was harmless. Let her go and mail her letter.
“I…I didn’t know someone was here.” She whispered, moving to the side where more owls were. They began hooting again. “I’ve never seen you here before.”
The other person just nodded and tried to hide the letter. No need for her to know what they were planning. In due time, she would also be part of all of this. No one in Hogwarts would be safe anymore. Not even You-Know-Who could think of such a plan. It was so easy just get inside of Hogwarts and pretend to be a part of it.
“I’m just sending something to my family.” Cho said.
They didn’t know why she said that but didn’t press on. If she wanted to send a letter to the family, then she could do so. But the poor girl couldn’t seem to find an owl for her letter. So they decided to take the tawny one and give it to her. She shook her head when she saw them come forth with the owl.
“No, you use it. It’s yours…”
But they kept insisting and she finally took it, using the owl to send the letter. She waited until it was out of sight before turning back.
“Well, thank you for that. I will see you at dinner tonight at the Great Hall?”
They nodded and she was gone. Finally. The owls were now making more noise so they had to do the same thing again. A black leather glove hand stroke and the new owl went silent. Sure, they could have used magic but why waste this skill on something like this? There would be a time for that later. Once they got control of Hogwarts, there would plenty time to use magic then.
They looked over the letter they were sending one last time.
It’s not over until I say it is over, Ministry of Magic bitches. Don’t forget, you must not tell lies. - A
Perhaps it was cruel to refer to the Ministry of Magic in such a way but that’s what they were. In addition to the letter, there was a clipping from a Muggle newspaper as well as The Daily Prophet. Rolling it up, A attached the letter to their owl and let it fly into the night. It was going to be hard to keep this from all the Hogwarts students. If one of them found out, they would probably tell the others. Maybe Cho herself would realize this and all the plans would be foiled.
No, that could not happen. A had to make sure that this never happened. If Cho or any other student or staff member found out, then they’d have to keep their mouths shut or A would have shut it for them. This was Hogwarts and it was big enough to get lost int. It would be difficult but not impossible to keep secrets here.
After all, two could keep a secret if one of them was dead.
