i dreamt about you last night. it was so vivid and real.
i came over to your house with lillies and a bottle of wine. you were happy to see me, your face lit up like it used to. we hugged. we laughed. we were happy together, again. you kissed me, and everything was alright in the world for that one, fleeting moment.
i could feel your body next to mine as i slept, i could feel your breath on my neck. i went to put my arm across your waist, like i have done so many times before, and then i woke up when i realized you weren't there.
i woke up in a cold sweat and no one was beside me.
