Medieval torture devices do have difficult fitting in with modern elegance. Even if the room has a theme going on, the color of blood is a difficult color to match with unless more blood is involved.

As Blanc continues to admire the room, still a bit weirded out everything, but able to appreciate the elegance of the design and form, he also watches Evan. His movements, his motions, everything about him. They're forgers, they know the drill.

Though he does take the brief moment to check his totem. The small pewter rabbit figurine is set on the small coffee table, the figurine balancing impossibly in the air. As Evan returns, Blanc quickly returns the figurine to his pocket and smiles as he takes the glass of water.

"We all have our reasons for the the people we employ or are employed by," he comments lightly, trying not to think too deeply on the statement. "So why do you work for her? Her good looks?"

ooc; And because I keep forgetting to say it, yes the wedding was great! Very beautiful wedding, I'm quite happy for the two of them. And the food was delicious.

Or a lot of black, lace, candles and an ever repeating occult symbol on everything.

Evan gave an amused smile, and stretched his legs in front of him. "True." He looked at the ceiling a moment then back at Blanc.

"In the beginning I was an extra deal with my Extractor." He threaded his fingers together and tapped his knuckles. "But we became friends. Forged through fire and dreams. And deaths." He gave a sliver of a smile. "The usual method."

ooc; Awesome! Delcious food is awesome! And so is a wedding! XD

"I see." Blanc said, though he didn't really. Sure, there were people he had worked with that he really enjoyed working with, but he'd never remained with anyone for long. He was a lone wolf, always moving on. It just happened things were a little different now.

Blanc sipped at his water as he thought about what he wanted to ask, what was important to know. He could play things cautiously, but Evan did have the distinct advantage now and he liked taking risks. Sensible risks, but risks all the same.

"I want you to convince Ms. Solana to come in and share the information she knows. That way the team planning the extraction can fulfill their end of the bargain and scatter. You guys can as well."

"I'm sure you do." Now that was a smile in name only, a flash of teeth, but no real warmth to it. Evan could be threatening even when he was lounging in a chair.

At Blanc request though Evan stilled and his eyes narrowed as he looked at Blanc. His dark brown eyes started to lighten to a familiar blue, then it was as if Ginia was sitting there, as if she had always been there.

Her lips move and her fingers fly.

/"Go to hell. I'll never endanger my team that way. No matter what Talon told that team, they won't stop until I am dead."/

Ginia is gone.

Evan sits there, no expression on his face.

Any composure Blanc might have had crumbles a bit when suddenly his sister is sitting before him. Even knowing Evan is a forger that works with his sister, the sight of her so plainly and near perfectly throws him off.

And suddenly he realizes why he couldn't ever forge her. Because Ginia wasn't the young woman of 22 he remembered her as, but something far more than that.

"Then let me help you escape," Blanc cries out, almost rising from his seat, but it's not Ginia. It's Evan. He sinks back in his seat and covers his eyes with his hand, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves.

ooc; Whee, Ginia's drinking and being broody [ here] since it's Blanc/Amelia's birthday today. 8DDD

Evan's expression both softens at Blanc real distress and hardens with stunning confirmation.

"You are a projection in her mind. Second-in-command of her security. Behind the second personality of course. She thinks your dead. You are Avery."

Evan's voice is calm, non-accusing, but sad.

ooc; Want to toss Inception!Lucian at her SO BAD. ??

Oh god. Blanc snaps up and stares at Evan with shocked horror as his words sink into his mind. It's dangerous enough dealing with a point with solid subconscious security, but when it's...

"I haven't been Avery for six years, Mr. Brown," is all he can say, sudden realizing things are much deeper than expected.

ooc; DO IT. We can totally say Ginia is drinking inside her dream. Or if you want to play Lucian as alive, we can set it back before his death.

Evan's eyes widen at Blanc's expression.

"...Please tell me you knew about the second personality?" He said weakly.

Because if he didn't...

Blanc's comment registered past Evan's own mild shock. "Fine. It's not really my business anyways." A sudden bitter twist of the lips. "I don't know anything about families. And call me Evan."

ooc; Projection!Lucian FTW!!!

"From the medical reports, yes, but there was nothing in there about Alice being the head of her subconscious security." Blanc wets his lips nervously, wondering whether he should mentioned Eames' plans on impersonating Alice. "How dangerous is Alice?"

Blanc quickly takes a drink of water, the water feeling much colder than earlier. The information is welcomed and he knows Eames and Arthur will be glad to hear it, but it complicates things. "I'm sorry, this is all very surprising to me and it complicates things to a dangerous degree."

ooc; Definitely!

"Well, duh. Medical reports rarely go into someones head." Evan flashed a bitter smile.

Evan grows silent as he thinks about Alice. His eyes grow distant then Change again to blue. Physically, it's Ginia, but the posture speaks of barely restrained protective rage. The eyes sharpen and look into Blanc's and it's like being stared at by a mother animal, all killer protective instinct, rage, and underneath it all the need to hurt something. All driven by human calculation.

"I am very Dangerous. And even harder to Forge." Evan is back quicker this time, and his face is pale. He breathes heavily for a moment and a hand passes in front of his face, obscuring his expression for a moment. When he looks back at Blanc, there all little signs of strain and tiredness around his eyes.

"I'm sure it does." Evan is quiet. "I think i just handed you a key to dealing with Ginia didn't I? OH well... I can't stop you... Well I can, But I'm not particularly fond of my limbo, nor of killing unless paid for it." He smiles in a way which says that no, he is not joking.

ooc; Wheee~

Blanc looks at Evan-Alice and is reminded of the time he took a trip to the zoo and the tiger came right up to the edge of his enclosure and looked right at him. Their eyes met and Blanc knew at that moment, it would only take a single leap and one paw swipe before Blanc was dead on the ground.

Except this time, there is no physical barrier and the only restraint there is human control. Evan's human control. His breath catches as he realizes if that were Alice, in Ginia's mind, he would be dead.

It's the nightmare of any dream thief, but the perfect addition to one's subconscious security.

"Yes... so I see..." Blanc responds closely, noting the strain it'd put on Evan, a close associate of Ginia, and realizing that Eames will never be able to forge Alice. No one can. She's a force not meant to be forged. At the best, he'd be a distraction before the real Alice came in and tore them all to pieces.

"I promise I am looking for ways to help her. I don't want anyone to die."

"I think you do." Evan nodded slowly. Alice was... tiring. SHe had been impressed at his forging of her, before she sent him flying. And that had been her being friendly, playful even.

"And I Didn't even give you a hint of her charming personality. I would of had to grope you, but hey." Evan shrugs.

Evan leans back again. "I know you are. Avery might be dead, but he's still looking out for his sister. In both worlds." Evan is suddenly Avery, the Avery of Ginia's memory. Like but not like Blanc who sits across from him. There is a sad smile on Avery's lips, then Evan is back.

"But you know that."

Evan smiles this time. "Everyone's going to Die. Early death can be avoid if you tread very carefully, and never trust your eyes."

The mention of being groped sends Blanc out of this thoughts, then wishing he hadn't thought on it. The implications were disturbing, to say the least. But it was obvious the two were opposites. Ginia, the patient and loving side, Alice, the wildfire. Yet he also had a hunch the two perhaps weren't that different. Ginia was protective and dangerous, a mother bear if provoked. Alice was simply... far more dangerous.

The accuracy of Evan's words hit Blanc hard and when he found himself looking at himself, he choked up a little. After all these years, Ginia thought of him, thought highly of him and even made some semblance of him in charge of her subconscious security.

The realization makes him feel like an even deeper ass and the crushing guilt he felt comes squishing down on him.

"I know everyone will die eventually, but not now. Not in this way."

Evan knows he is not pulling any punches. He almost feels guilty. Almost. Except he's seen Ginia's mind and met her security and it made him angry that her brother had hidden all these years. It made him very angry and very sad.

"Not this way." Evan repeats then nods. "I don't want it either."

He leans back. "So, what else do you want to know?"

There's so many things to ask, so many things to find out for the sake of the job. But for a moment Blanc forgets everything else.

Is Ginis a good point? Is she taking care of herself?" Is she loved, cared for? Does she sleep easily at night or do nightmares plague her? Does she still smile as brilliantly as she used to or have the years brought her down? Is she eating enough? Resting enough? Happy with her life? All those and more are the questions on his mind, but he settles for three words.

"Is she okay?"
