Me: I dunno why I have been so blah lately.
Kwik: Well, I just want to help you be happy. I am happier when you are happy.
Me: I know. You are a good dog. By the way, did I hear gunshots earlier?
Kwik: Yeah, I was outside and heard it.. Blam blam blam blam blam. Like five shots, emptied a clip, probably didn't hit anything.
Me: It sounded close. I thought someone was knocking on my door or something. How close did it sound to you?
Kwik: Pretty far away.
Me: Hmm. Anyway, I know. I'm embarassed to be so grumpy all the time. I just have to find some sort of path in life. Then I think I'll be a lot happier.
