Better late than never

I decided to sign up for LJ a few months before i moved to Brooklyn so that i can document my life living here. Unfortunately i have been too busy and lazy to actually post. So i'm finally sitting my ass down and attempting to do a bit of catch up. Especially since i've been living here for almost 2 months.

I like the apt very much as it's really roomy and the wall of windows which you will see is kinda cool. The previous tenants were a married couple and their child so they had a wierd set-up built. So there is only one actually room, which was the guys workshop where he worked on watches. I took that room because no one else wanted the room that has no light and gets no air circulation.

We have a lot of work to do to get this place suitable for 3 people to live in. Gotta destroy a decent amount of the structures and rebuild walls so that we can have a 3 bedroom apt. The high ceilings are nice so that we can loft up our beds so we can have more space once we actually work on building rooms.

Here are some photos of the apt when we moved in:

Behind that wall is my roommate Nicole's room area and the ladder leads to
Dan's lofted bed temporarily till we build another room.

And here is our Living room. Behind that closet is my room.

The stairs lead to an elevated room which we will destroy and eventually make into a room for Dan.
Also this is the small hallway area to the bathroom to the right and to the left another hallway that leads
to the entrance to my room and the apt door.

As you can see one whole side of our apt is these old warehouse windows. The previous tenants
left that cabinet with a tv and vcr in it. We got rid of it because i brought a much larger television.

Even more windows and part of the dining room/kitchen area.

And there you can see our kitchen.

That's about it for now. I'll post some more later on the progress of the apt and what i've been doing the last 2 months.
