I've been thinking for some time now that I miss writing about music; back in the day when I was a journalism major at school I won a few awards in the category of critical review for my writing on concerts and records.
While I sometimes enjoy the writing locally on whatever our local music scene is, I do get tired of the snark or the "everything is just ducky!" tone of most of the writing. So I'm thinking about starting another blog that would focus on serious writings and interviews about Sacramento music. Some of it may not be pretty, but I would hope it would be evenhanded.
