SO. MUCH. BETTER.

Tonight totally made up for this weekend. The weekend wasn't horrible, but it was what it was. Ugh. Anywho... we got out of the house and walked around the central west end(St. Louis's equivalent of the Pearl District or NW 23rd for those of you who are Portlanders) we took Chloe and she horked in the car, but we walked all around the extravagant row houses and she had a great time getting lots of love from strangers. We also stopped for gelato before dinner.

Then we drove over and parked at The Muny (Municipal Theater) and took a billion pictures. We saw a ton of turtles and ducks and I found another broken robin's egg on the ground complete with poor little dead bird fetus inside. Robin's must have a shit-ton of predators. After walking around the gazebo @ the muny, we walked over to the Boat House restaurant and ate outside with Chloe. More petting & dog loving ensued and we took tons of pictures of the lake and watched people launch off in their little foot peddle boats. There were baby ducks and more turtles waiting to get a little bit of our food or some croutons from the waiter.

Before dinner we met a huge poofball dog named Murphy. He was like a giant cotton ball. He was so big and soft... IDK a giant poodle or something. Well, when we were being seated for dinner we looked out on the lake-naturally. Then we hear this guy yell "MURPHY!!!" and we look over and Murphy had gotten off leash and decided to chase the ducks in the lake and got all soaked. It was pretty hilarious.

We got home just in time to see the Fourth of July fireworks that they decided to launch tonight instead(due to the rain & whatnot last night) We walked out to the big field by our house, but we got eaten alive by bugs and started to walk back to the house. We took some pics over the peanut lake so that the fireworks reflected off of it, then arrived at our apartment and sat with our neighbors--which actually happened to be the best seat in the house! The fireworks were directly in front of us!
