I am officially in love with you. This is beyond amazing! I never imagined someone would take all of these facts and make something so perfect out of them.
You deserve a much better review, but I fear I'm a bit awed and speechless at the moment. :) I have, however, recced this in my journal this morning, where I hope I was a bit more coherent. ;)
Thank you so much for this! I will be holding my breath for part 2! ♥
Oh the blushing! I believe it starts at my toes ...
Seriously; I was so inspired with your ideas. I had no intention of ever writing anything 'next-gen', but reading through your list there were such clear and beautiful images ... and so this happened.
I am a moderate way into part two and will try to finish it this week. I'm SO glad you like it. There were nerves, they were shaky.
The credit really does lie with you, though. If anything I'm playing artist to your Gaimanesque script. Which is great fun since I've completely forgotten how to draw with pencils.
Not only do I not mind, I'm delighted! And am friending you right back because you're so very kind and also because anyone who journals in poetry must be friended!
I am with you in the not being a big fan of present tense. I have enjoyed some very well written material done that way, but never thought I would write any. Sansa's list just screamed for it, though, and it does allow for a less formally structured story than I normally write, which ended up working in this case. I think it's because they're so young and only partly formed themselves, and every moment can be fresh and immediate at that age. If I'd thought outside the present as a teenager I would still have a properly working left knee and a straight nose ... but far fewer amusing stories to tell.
Will get to work writing in just a few minutes ...
You've got me completely hooked. Can't wait for part two. You do a fantastic job with the narrative POV - hinting at bigger things a child can only guess at. And of course I'm dying to know what happened between Harry and Draco . . . Very nice, indeed :)
