Happy New Years folks
I and the peoples I was with decided drinking was in order, and I agreed. We played D&D (yes were dorks) for the hell of it and decided that everytime some one took damage in the game that we should take a shot of whatever we had. That got us nice and lit up. I think by the end of the night I had something like 6 or 7 shots of tequila, 3 shots of whiskey, sake, a couple of beers and some vodka. It was definately funtimes last night and into this morning....I was looking forward to it because I had worked my ass off on Tues. I got volunteered to do a dinner for 130 people. It was roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and some strawbeery shortcake. I was part of a crew of five...the All Vigil Kitchen...I would explain but Im too tired, but basically we were a bunch of guys that are higher up in the Order of the Arrow....its a Boy Scout thing. Our dinner kicked ass, but the guy that my dad brought in to do the dessert dropped the ball...It was edible and tasted alright, but he didnt bake two of the three pans enough...plus he was supposed to be there at 130 and didnt show up till 330 left to get his ingredients and didnt start till almost 5...we had to load up and move at 6 to serve at 630. PLus he didnt clean up his mess and left it for us....So we wont use that guy again.
ANyways the food (which was done all from scrath) was sucked up by all the kids...they loved it, but hey they were eating food they made for almost a week so I dont blame them, I went through the same training when I was 14, but I knew quite a bit back then, so we ate pretty good, but I do know what they were going through. So if you need some help cooking for a large group you can always ask me, because I can help.
Happy New years yall!!! (I love saying that and not getting stares)
Peace Love and Happiness
