I am in a no-politics-at-all period right now. I have to stop all input from politics periodically or I just get so helplessly angry that it starts to take a toll on mt physically. I used to be involved politically all the time, but over the last 5 years it has just gotten so bad, given me such a feeling of ongoing hopelessness, that I have to take complete breaks or I lose it.

All of this is, I suppose, an attempt to express an affinity with your feeling that "...they ignore you and continue driving fast and they don't notice the oncoming traffic and there is nothing to be done anymore." I hear what you are saying. Try to find a way to continue to be, beyond it all somehow.
