I got a certified letter Friday. Oh! who could it be? I feel so important! This is excitement!!
One quick trip to the post office and it turns out that, yay!, the ServiceMaster people want to put a lien on my place until they're paid for the water damage removal they did. YAY!!
The insurance human that is "handling" my case hadn't returned any of my calls all week. And she wasn't answering her phone Friday. I leave her a desperate voice mail about how I'd rather not have a lien on my place ever, thankyouverymuch, and can she please mail them the check she was supposed to mail out when they got the bill?
Nope! No reply. I call and talk to a supervisor, who handles it immediately, even calling the ServiceMaster droids to tell them to back off.
Oh, and even though I have the quotes for fixing up my place, I still don't know how to proceed from here.
Nothing much has been happening, since I crashed last week and have been sleeping pretty much 20+ hours a day for the past few days. Well, I did finish The Brothers Karamozov today, a light-hearted tale.
