I got back today from a madcap weekend in Reno (motto: It's not Hell, but you can see Sparks from here!) with Richard (bear_with_me). I played poker with the sharks while Richard won gobs of money at the video poker machines. One of the highlights of the weekend was when Richard and I were treated to "Dinner and a Show". We were fascinated by a group of meth-heads, who were hustling for money across the street from the hotel restaurant. One of them must have been the alpha-scum, because every one would give him the money they collected. Well worth the price of admission!
I learned that I really enjoy playing poker. And it's even better when I win! Having loud music and half naked girls dancing just outside of the poker room? Not so hot, it turns out.
