Sea Ranch

This weekend, Richard (bear_with_me), Scott (sftekbear), Christian (ferricide), Matthew (mamoosh), John (LJ non-person), Cory (ibubtoo), and Joel (another LJ non-person) went up to Sea Ranch. It was filled with food, fun, games, fun, hot tubs, injured knees, loafing, chatting about just about everyone, and fun. It's kind of insane that this happened in at all. Richard got a crash course in herding cats trying to get us all to commit to where we would go and when. We would have gone on the houseboat again this year, but it's a major pain in the semprini. Let me just say this.

Richard is no longer picking our accommodations!

John couldn't even fit into the house!

Richard, always the optimist, tried to make the best of it. "Airy! Beach adjacent! Rustic!", he said. None of us were falling for it.

The hot tub? Let's just say that it needed a bit of chlorine.

Richard needs to get a refund for the dishwasher. It was constantly overflowing.

We did feel sorry for other people out there who had to rent worse places.

All joking aside, it was a pretty groovy time. Christian, Scott, and I got there Thursday night; Christian driving, Scott navigating, and me getting sick in the back. We pulled over a couple of times so that I could avoid puking guts. We made it to the house...

Now, I was expecting something that you'd see along the coast of Maine or whatever. You know, white building with a wrap-around porch. Or possibly something not so nice. This place was amazing!! And we got it for a song!

The next several days consisted of us sleeping, hot tubbing, eating, talking, reading, walking along the beach and/or cliff, pretending we were in the moors of Scotland (because of the constant fog), and more hot tubbing. I tried my best to stay off of the internets and mostly succeeded.
