Well, I just talked to Ronée about the play, and she and Tom Simons (cast member and Thibodaux Playhouse president) will decide today whether or not to go on with Mr. 80% as scheduled or whether to wait until later in the season, perhaps November. I don't want to postpone it -- the cast and crew have already worked really hard against really ridiculous odds, but I'm starting to think that may be the best option. Even if we get a venue, most likely Peltier Auditorium at Nicholls State University, the bigger question is one of the SET. We don't have anywhere to build it, and we can't even GET to our flats and equipment because that's all in the same theatre as the Rangers who are sleeping on our stage.
The show must go on... but it may have to go on later.
In other news, with my supply of comic books still nil, I've started looking for other sources for superhero stories, and I've had enough fun to get this week's Everthing But Imaginary column out of it:
EVERYTHING BUT IMAGINARY #131: FINDING SUPERHEROES
