Whew.

I know the personal updates have been few and far between lately. It's been pretty busy lately, what can I say? Monday was the school's fall Open House. Tuesday I had to catch up on my DC reviews. Wednesday I had a column to write late. All of these things were done late because of the school time. Not that I'm complaining -- it's a really fulfilling position. I just never realized, as a kid, that teachers have 10 times as much homework as the students do.

Today was good. I got up and headed off to Thibodaux to help on the set of Ronee's next show, Murder Most Fouled-Up. Her husband, Dwayne, wasn't there though, and he kind of runs these set builds. We could only do so much without him, so we called it quits at lunchtime. Instead of going home, I wound up meeting up with Mike to hit the comic shops. We went to the new shop in Metairie only to stumble into a book signing -- a guy who self-published a romantic comedy graphic comic was there. I bought a copy and gave him the address of Comixtreme, promising to give him a little publicity. Then we met with Jason and Andrea for dinner at the Fox and Hound and to see The Last Kiss. I'll probably do a full review on Monday, but I can say this much now: it's a very good movie, but it's VERY draining, emotionally. It isn't an easy movie to watch. It's well-made, but it's not a movie I think I'll be able to watch over and over again.
