Form, and void

Mar 11, 2014 09:37

Although no one reads this journal, I will shortly post a lengthy tract regarding my feelings about the True Detective finale. Which I loved.

But, in the meanwhile, something to chew on (from the Book of Genesis):

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness."

It should be noted, I am an atheist but am not unfamiliar with the Bible. Despite my complete lack of belief in that sort of thing, I was deeply moved by TD.
