What the fuck. Just got a call from my dad. He was walking his dog Wally when some guy came around the corner in his car and hit Wally. The guy continued to drive up the street dragging wally for about 50ft. He stopped and got out of the car. Frantically My father explained to him what had happened and he said he did not see Wally or my father. He then said that he had to go and the his address was.... He got in his car and drove off leaving my dad with Wally on the ground bleeding. The vets said he would not make it and that there was damage to his liver, Spleen, lungs and legs. Wally is a tough guy and miraculously he looks like he will pull though.
The thing here is that my father did not react strongly enough and this guy has seemingly gotten away with this.
If I was in my father's shoes I would now be in police custody. I am sure I would have had a very strong reaction that more likely than not would have involved physical violence. Not sure how many of you know this but I view my dogs as my kids and place as much value on their lives as I do that of a human being. While you might not agree with this it is the way I feel. I am still fighting the urge to go back there and .......
My father really did not need this in his life right now especially with everything that is going on with his work and his health etc. I could tell he was depressed and he said that he has been extremely down the last few days. I keep feeling like this fucker though well it was just a dog ..... I would like to get his son and belt sand a few square ft of skin off of him just to see the agonized look on the fathers face. I am very upset and all I can say is that We (Meredith and I) are lucky that this did not happen to up.
I am coming back from Florida tomorrow and then I have an awesome next few weeks. I am going to party on Saturday night (shhh don' tell Mer) oops. Then her parents arrive on Sunday. I have a Hanukkah party at my aunts. Two mortgage closing on Monday. A fun week with Meredith and her Fam (I heart them and spending time with them) Also when they are around my Doogal smiles more and that makes my heart glow all that much more.
We will go to some great restaurants and I am going to cook like 20 Lobsters. I have the hook up in China town. Then Christmas and presents (have never opened presents under a tree or done that whole thing before) I am excited. (huh who is going to play santa and put the presents under the tree. I think I am going to get some special pajamas for it and make hot cider or something.
After this we have the NYE party to go to then Greg and Karri will be in town and I am really hoping to be able to hang out with them two nights.
Ok well I hope you enjoyed reading this book as much as I did writing it. See many of you soon and take care.
Here's hoping for a speeding and complete recovery for Wally.
