To whom are you referring? My Father, or Mister Filch?

Filch. I don't know your father.

But you know Filch well?

I should think you would dislike my Father, given his reluctant views on the matter of change. Clearly you are one who believes in change, in altering the so-called order of things.

Just that he's lonely. Don't you think it's bad to be lonely?

I don't care about the order of things. If you need to change something... then sometimes you need to.

I have five older brothers. The concept of loneliness is alien to me, and yet not entirely off-putting.

Regardless of the consequences it may have for others?

No. Not ever regardless. I'm not some dog... jerk... guy. I usually don't want bad things to happen to anybody.

Are bad things happening? Or going to happen?

You don't want bad things for others, but you want good things for yourself more.

Bad things happen in general, do they not? I am not a practitioner of Divination.

Beat your face and/or body? I think I would have done that by now, if I were going to. The thought crossed my mind briefly, but I am not really in a position to issue judgement.

I am, however, surprised you are asking this now, in what can only be described as a rather belated fashion.

Hang on for just a tick, most beautiful girl on Earth, I need to go ask your boyfriend something...

I do see your point.

I do not know whether to be impressed or irritated by your accomplishments. But then I think I may be allowed to be both.

I don't understand. They aren't accomplishments like ones in a trophy case. Isn't this sort of thing supposed to just... happen when you love someone?

Look at where you were a year ago. Did you ever conceive of such a thing happening? You already loved her then, didn't you?

Yes... I didn't think anything would happen, I just said what I... or did-

Isn't it a bit off to be talking about this?

You are uncomfortable? We can talk about something else, if there is anything to talk about.
