It's spring break for me at the moment. I'm beginning work on a paper for my Systematic Theology 3 class. I'm going to write about an article titled "Evangelicals and Catholics Together: The Christian Mission in the Third Millennium." It is an interesting article. I really enjoyed reading it. Now I have to analyze it and talk about it. I'm not sure what to say about it. One thing I thought about saying is:
"It has to be right because Peter Kreeft signed off on it."
I don't think that would be enough for six pages though...

I think it has a really good point. It admits to the differences between Catholics and Evangelicals(and even to the differences amongst Evangelicals in Protestantism), but calls us to see the underlying essence of the Christian Faith and our need to work together in spreading the Gospel throughout the whole world. It is highly needed. It is just as highly needed for us to be united and one as Jesus prayed for us to be in John 17 and that will probably be the greatest witness to the world. Wouldn't that be something?? Catholics and Protestants working to spread the Good News to a world that needs it! I know we disagree on how God saves us in the specifics, but we all agree that it is God that saves us through Jesus Christ's life, death, resurrection, and ascension! We do need to come together to work on those details and find where we fully disagree and where we really do agree with different terminology, then look to see if that disagreement is significant to one's personal faith in Christ.
So, read the article and see what I mean about it being really good.
Peace is yours in Jesus Christ!
