a thought for you to ponder....

We should be more sure of God than we are of ourselves. God has created all that is, He created us, He existed eternally before the universe was brought forth in His creative action. Because of this, He is, in some sense, more real than even we are for He existed independantly of us, He exists in Himself. We have being because He is Being. We are but mere shadows of His existence, but in His grace He brought us forth, and in His grace we will come to have a fuller being, a more real existence in the Ressurection. Even now, we are moving forward, with each moment we are coming to reflect His glory, we are being transformed into His likeness. Even in our moments of sin, we are given oppurtunities to become more like Christ for we are given the oppurtunity to confess and repent. And in that repentance we once again agree with God and know His righteousness in us. And through that, we reflect even more of God's glory in ourselves. Let us believe more in God and less in ourselves. Let us be more sure of God than we are of ourselves. Let us fall at His feet in love and adoration and go forth and bring others to Him, showing them the love of God reflected through our confession and repentance and offering all the forgiveness that He offers us continually in Christ!
