Hilarious!!
Went to an impromptu wedding on the weekend. Was joking with friends that I might meet the love of my life there, and we all had a giggle.
However, I DID end up meeting someone! It amuses me so much. He was cute (and Asian, which is something that rarely happens to me since I only seem to be attracted to Asian men when they are on tv), the right height, the right age (i.e. Older than me for once), talkative and interesting enough to have my attention AND he was perfect on paper too! (meaning he also ticks my parents' boxes, meaning he is a doctor... Haha)
Unfortunately, I thought things were going well and he kept asking me what I was doing afterwards, but he didn't ask for my number! Even though I was fully expecting him to! I felt quite outraged though. But I am a firm believer that if it was meant to be, we will meet again. He does live in Cairns, which makes things awkward. And in any case, I am not ready to date yet. But it was nice to know that once I get back into it, there might still be the potential for me to meet someone great. And I won't end up a spinster for the rest of my life!
I told my mum about this guy and she couldn't contain her excitement. I think my marrying an Asian doctor would be her dream come true. Typical Chinese parenting!
