Where Does It End?

The past few days I have been insanely busy doing the following:

Thursday: Spent the entire day applying for jobs online or faxing my resumes. Susan stopped by to visit! I was so happy to see her, since I hadn't before Hurricane Katrina hit.

Friday: Spent the first half of the day applying for jobs again.

Saturday: Went out to New Orleans that night. It was me, Christie, Demitria, one of my coworkers from the library at SLU, and our neighbor Vicki. Oh yeah, Kim came to town but was too tired from work and going out during the week to go with us. We had a lot of fun, despite the fact that quite a few of the places Christie wanted to go to haven't yet reopened since the hurricane. We ate at the Decatur Oyster House, and the food was really, really good! They wanted to go to Utopia, which not only sucked but was indeed the trashy club that my college classmate Alicia said it was. We then headed to the W Hotel and hung out in the Whiskey Blue most of the night. Christie was flirting with one of the door guys most of the time, to no one's surprise. It was kind of amusing though. Afterwards, we went to Harrah's where I gambled and only won $12.50. Oh well. Before we left, we headed back to the Whiskey Blue one last time. That's now my favorite place in New Orleans to hang out, since TwiRoPa's gone. No one else really caters to the hipster crowd, except One-Eyed Jacks on occasion and the Circle Bar. Speaking of One-Eyed Jacks, I checked out their website earlier that day, only to find out that Of Montreal was playing later that night. Ugh! I missed them when they were in Baton Rouge, and I knew there was no chance in hell they'd want to go and check them out. Heh... Otherwise, we had a fun night.

Sunday: Spent my day recuperating from the previous night and went to Mass.

Monday: Went to my first spin class, and my God did that kill me! Definitely not looking forward to the next one! I went with Christie and my mom to Metairie and then bought some shoes. My brother spent the day with us again as well. And I have a job interview tomorrow. Wish me luck, because I need a job!

All of that, and an interview tomorrow to prepare for. But before I go, I'm off to watch last night's episode of Subterranean. Later!
