I don't like waking up, turning on the news, and feeling like WWIII could start any second.
Opening night went well. I love performing in JC Superstar. I am going to miss this cast like crazy. Last night I got tackled by a bunch of little ones who know me and are in Wizard of OZ. I'm going to be the big sister of the cast. Just watch. I know I'll love every second of it though. Having kids come to me with problems or when they get hurt is so rewarding for me because they look to me for help. Maybe I'm just weird like that.
OZ rehearsals start Saturday.
I went to Costco yesterday. I love going there. You meet the most random, wonderful people there. This one guy yesterday was this old cowboy complete with accent. He stands next to us near the bakery and says, "I could sit here smellin' and gain 10 pounds without taking a bite." He said a few more things and left. My mom and I loved it.
I also noticed something the other day, but being at Costco reminded me of it. People have stopped referring to me as "that girl." They say "that lady" now. This kid almost ran into me and his sister yelled at him for almost hitting "that lady." I've been referred to like that twice now. It's not something most people would pick up on as significant. I don't know. I think it is sort of a sign that I've grown up more.
I'm beginning to hang out with people outside rehearsal!! I'm excited.
Always,
Blair
