[Blaine almost has a heart-attack when he checks his messages a short while later, checking the time and grateful less than an hour has passed. He calls back, his hands shaking and he mis-dials the first time, finally getting it right, repeating 'pleasepleaseplease' under his breath as it rings, waiting.]
[Jair picks it up the fourth ring in, having not heard it because he set it on vibrate. He's sitting on a park bench, a little chilled because it's so late.] H-Hello?
[He sinks into the bench when Blaine speaks, eyes fluttering shut. He feels calmer just listening to Blaine, even if he's freaking out.] My dad.... I'm at the park near Renner street?
Yeah, I know it. I'm going to come right now, alright? I can be there in like... 10 minutes. Then you can tell me everything, alright? [His dad? That didn't sound good. Blaine could feel his stomach tighten up.] Are you safe, baby?
[Blaine grabbed his jacket, rushing out the door and out to his car, heading in the direction of the park, banging his hand on the steering wheel as if that would help him go faster.]
[He parked crooked, but he didn't fix it, no one was around. He began walking towards the center where the benches were, relieved when he saw Jair, and breaking out into a run, tugging him into his arms.] I'm here.
[He's just about to get up and go to the parking lot when Blaine sprints into view. He gets up and lets himself be embraced, feeling a little numb.] Thank you.
Jesus, you feel cold. [He slips off his coat and puts it around Jair's shoulders.] Come on, let's go to the car, I'll put on the heat. [He took his hand.] What happened with your Dad? It must have been... bad.
[He drove to a small coffee-house near the park, holding his hand the entire way, the heat blowing on them, the car quiet except for the moving of the wiper blades as it started to rain. It was good he had come when he did, or Jair would be soaked.]
[He put his arm around him as they dashed inside, having him sit while he ordered two hot chocolates and biscotti, joining him at the table.] Extra whipped cream because you need it.
[He stays silent up until when Blaine comes back with their hot drinks. His mouth twitches but he doesn't actually smile, eyes too sad.] Thank you. [He takes a sip.]
B-B-B-Blaine... It's Jair... I r-ran away from home... c-call me back in three hours or my b-battery will b-be o-out. I love y-you.

My parents are in California visiting my brother, so I hope you'll come and stay with me, at least for tonight. [He ventured.]
