i'm sitting here watching the fellowship of the ring. it's just something to pass the time, while fancy gets out of work. then i can go to bed since she's going out to eat after work. i had to go do some laundry today, and i just wanted to come home because it was hot as hell at her grandparent's house. i was falling asleep watching tv there. i was already tired from not sleeping enough last night, and from work, so sitting there waiting for the wash to be done was murder.
i talked to my friend catherine on my way home, and as it was only the second time i've talked to her since she came back from studying abroad in new zealand (and probably since we went off to college), there was hardly a moment of silence. the reason i say that is because i had food with me, but i couldn't get enough time in between her talking to me, or my answering back to tell her i needed to eat my food. she's always been a great, loyal friend, so i'm not complaining. now that i think about it, i think the last time i saw her was when we went to see the two towers on opening night.
the last couple of days that i've been online, i've been searching the internet for some news of something that i must have completely missed when it first was talked about. the making of 'the hobbit.' i finally found an interview with peter jackson where he mentions that the hobbit is in the works. he said, however, much to my dissapointment, that he doesn't think anything is going to happen about that movie until about three to four years. first, because (at the time of the interview) he was busy with king kong, second because he already has prior engagements after kong, and third (probaly most important), because new line and mgm are kinda battling for rights. something like that. while i was looking for news, i found this message board where they said the hobbit is available to read online, so, of course, i'm reading the hobbit again. narnia, harry potter, and he hobbit. that's what i've been reading these last few days.
anyway, it's after her shift and she hasn't called, so i'm off to bed. goodnight.
