Ham and Enos, Lou

You were the pioneers, not us
Beautiful creatures, full of love and understanding
True heroes, gentle eyes
Misunderstood mistreated
Our tests and trials
Your tears our tribulations
Your jubilation wasted on our fear
What have we done to these friends?
Caged them up, used them,
did not treat them with
the respect they deserve
Our elders
Our ancesters
We have to much to learn from your sweet souls
Explorers of life
Adventurers
Lovers
Tree climbers
Song singers
I love you.

I know its cheesey that i wrote a poem about chimpanzee cruelty.
but they are beautiful.
