Nan Quan Mama's "Battling Bach"
My CDs didn't make it here until I was away, so I didn't get to listen to them on my trip. (I also didn't buy any CDs on vacation because I never went to a store that actually sold CDs and even if I had, I was tight on money.) I'm sure someone's posted this album on LJ by now, but I hope I mention something that no one else knew before about this album.
As you probably know, the band used to have 4 members, 2 of them left and 2 new members were added, and now we're back to 2 of the original 4, Yuhao and Dan Tou. I refuse to call them by their English names because it's so rare to see their English names compared to seeing 杨瑞代 as "Gary Yang." It's easier to just call Yuhao by his real name and Dan Tou by his nickname, which is Chinese for "Warhead," which sounds more band-worthy than Devon. (Devon and Yuri are just odd names anyways...)
Let's all take a moment to lament over the tragic accident that is Dan Tou's hair. Of course, he really hasn't had many hairstyles I've approved of, but this looks like he had a lawnmower go over one side and not the other. Pipi (his wife) is probably used to this by now. (Her name sounds extremely funny to English-speakers. XD)
The album case has a couple of pictures of Dan Tou with his daughter in it. I couldn't find the same pictures, but here are some pictures with her in them:
The older fellow in the second picture is Yuhao's dad and the piano in the bottom picture is the one used in "Pandamen."
When I bought this album, this was the only version available. The case is really BIG. It's bigger than alan's "Orient of the Heart," but thin. This may be a problem when trying to find a place to keep it. You can see how big it is here:
Most of the music in this album is composed by Yuhao and 4 the songs have lyrics by Dan Tou. Both "赶快认错" ("Say Sorry Now") and "可苦可乐" ("Life Can Be Hard but Lovely") have lyrics and music by Yuhao. The two songs that weren't written by Yuhao are "河流·午后·我经过" ("River, Afternoon, I Passed By") by Jay Chou and Vincent Fang and "I am so crazy" by ex-NQMM Gary Yang. As usual, the song styles vary, including fun pop songs, ballads, hip-hop-oriented pop songs, and Zhongguo feng.
When I labeled the files, I wasn't sure what name to go with for the album. I wrote "Dueling Bach" on the tags, but "Battling Bach" also works and the English title given for the title song is "Fighting with Bach," which seems a little more wordy.

Actually, that's probably the best I've seen on the back cover of a Chinese album, but I haven't seen that many English translations of song names on album covers, really. I've included links for more information on the word "otaku" and the Chinese parasol tree, which, judging by the comments at the link, you should not plant in the Southern US.
